DominicanToday.com - The Vice minister of Sports based in Puerto Plata, accused of halting a bench warrant to search and seize drugs and arrest suspects on drug trafficking and illegal weapons charges, was sent to the prison at Najayo.
The official Miguel Campos Terrero will spend 12 months, as ordered by Puerto Plata Permanent Attention judge Juan Alexis Rodriguez, who then refused to review the measure alleging that the case belongs to a special jurisdiction, although Privileged Instruction judge Victor Jose Castellanos upheld the ruling.
Campos is accused of preventing the search, pistol in hand, headed by Assistant DA Julio Cesar Garcia and Antinarcotics agents, in a residential project between Cabarete and Sosúa.

Did this happen in Perla Marina or Sea Horse Ranch? Would be nice if DominicanToday could be a little more precise in their journalistic work. Seems there is always a problem in getting the small but important details out - Who - Where - When ! |
