Police dismantle credit card cloners in Dominican Republic
DR1.com - Police agents assigned to the Department of Falsifications have dismantled a gang that was dedicated to cloning credit cards and cell phone SIM cards. The cloned cards were given to women, for the most part, who then made purchases in commercial establishments. The women purchased television sets, batteries for power inverters, watches, weekends at resorts and airline tickets along with other items that could be easily resold. Juan Esteban Olivero was arrested and more than 1000 cloned credit cards were found in his possession. Two other people had already been detained. Olivero was caught with equipment for cloning credit cards during the arrest made by prosecutor Willam Vilorio and the Police agents.
