Murder over a parking space in upscale sector of Santo Doming
DR1.com - In a crime that will be always hard to explain, 55-year old businessman Guillermo Moncada Aybar was murdered yesterday following a dispute over a residential parking space. As reported in Listin Diario, the crime occurred after Moncada's niece's private tutor inadvertently parked in a parking space belonging to the father of 47-year old Rafael Emilio Gonzalez Alvarez in the Residencial Xiomara in Piantini. Guillermo Moncada was visiting his sister, and Gonzalez murdered him after he interceded on her behalf after Gonzalez pushed her to the ground, according to witnesses.

A neighbor, Ivette Saba said that when Guillermo Moncada reached the scene, Gonzalez did not give him a chance to talk and fired the fatal shots. She said that when Moncada was injured, Gonzalez fired three more shots at his head. The Police confiscated a 9mm Glock gun that he used with a permit.

Gonzalez's wife Yadhira Pimentel said that her husband had acted in self-defense.

The news report says that Gonzalez left the scene of the crime. Moncada, who leaves a widow and three orphaned children, was buried at the Puerta del Cielo cemetery yesterday.

DominicanWatchdog Note: This sounds more like another police officer on the lose with a 9mm Clock behaving like an animal, usually only officials connected to the government are allowed to carry 9mm calibre guns. Soon the Dominican Republic will need to emplement Muslim laws... and eye for an eye.... to combat the unacceptable amount of crimes against normal people.
