DominicanToday.com - The Presidency’s Antinarcotics adviser yesterday denounced that his position against organized crime and drug trafficking has led to a situation of confrontation within Government groups, which he didn’t identify.
Marino Vinicio Castillo, who also heads the Ethics and Anti-corruption Commission, warned of upheaval and difficulties, because many dangerous things roam about the country, the third time the official makes a similar warning this year.
He said those who linked to organized crime must suffer the consequences, because there cannot be “sacred cows.”
“I have warned you, President (Leonel Fernandez), to the people are choosing you, be careful because there are very dangerous groups within the Administration, people who are doing treachery, who weren’t elected by the people,” Castillo said during an assembly of the minor opposition party FNP he presides.
