Dominican man kills ex over Facebook photo - One of the latest facebook-related violence occured this week in a Santo Domingo motel, where a young man murdered his wife and later committed suicide after seeing a picture of her with another man on the social network.

According to a police report, Valentin Nuñez Luciano, 26, shot and killed Marleni Suero Amador, 25, late Wednesday, with a 9mm Bersa pistol, the same gun he used to kill himself immediately after.

Friends and relatives describe Nuñez Luciano as a good young man, while reports indicate that he regularly abused Suero Amador.

Police spokesman Maximo Baez said that relatives told police Nuñez had seen Suero in a photo with a man she had recently visited in jail. The couple had been together for three years but broke up about a month ago because Nuñez had apparently abused her physically.

The incident occurred on Sunday night at a party in Santo Domingo's Villa Duarte sector, though police were not clear about which of the two posted the remark that sparked the fight. The note said that the victim, 20-year-old Cristina Cabrera, got angry with Bety Morel Bilomal for putting the remark on Facebook.......
