Dominican arrested in Panama killings of 5 Chinese
Authorities in the Dominican Republic say they have arrested a man suspected of helping kidnap and kill five Chinese men in Panama.

Police spokesman Maximo Baez says Fermin Antonio Taveras Ramirez had lightened his hair and erased all of his fingerprints through surgery.

He said Taveras was found submerged in a tank of water in an attempt to hide from authorities. The suspect is expected to be extradited to Panama to face charges. It is unclear if he has an attorney.

Another Dominican identified as Alcibiades Mendez and an unidentified Panamanian have been arrested in Panama and charged with kidnapping and murder.

Panamanian authorities found the bodies of the five men in September. They had been kidnapped for ransom.
