Dominican Republic: 309 female trafficking victims rescued

infosurhoy.com - Baró Gutiérrez added 82 male suspects had been apprehended in connection with the trafficking of women since February 2013 in just the National District alone. He also said 13 nightclubs have been shut down for being linked to human trafficking and pandering.

Additionally, Dominican authorities prosecuted 103 cases, including 57 suspects for allegedly smuggling migrants, 19 suspected of human trafficking, 14 accused of pandering, 11 for allegedly procuring prostitution and two for allegedly being involved in sexual tourism and pornography.
