SANTO DOMINGO, Dominican Republic - Police in D.R. have arrested four suspects for the murder of a 20 year old Haitian woman attending college in the capital city of Santo Domingo.
Rooldine Lindor was murdered on July 12 after being raped, Jodel Philogene, a former head of Zenith Radio TV told Haiti Press Network. Philogene added that Lindor was looking for an apartment when her assailants, posing as housing agents, assaulted and ultimately murdered her.
"The Dominicans have killed the student after she has given them 18,000 pesos for them to find an apartment lease," said the HPN source.
Only 20 years old, Roodline was studying Computer Science at "Universidad Tecnologica de Santiago" (UTESA).

Update: Haitian delegation to arrive in Dominican Republic to probe into murder
Domingo.- A delegation of Haitian parliamentarians are setting out for the Dominican Republic for a nine day trip, aimed at shedding light on the murder investigation of Rooldine Lindor.
Chairman of the Foreign Affairs Committee of the Chamber of Deputies, Altes Toussaint, announced the intentions of the team to inquire from August 4th to the 13th on the progress of the investigation.
The investigation of murdered Haitian student, Rooldine Lindor, whose body was found on July 12 in Santo Domingo has so far held two men as suspects.
Parliamentarians said that working sessions were held with individuals from concerned ministries such as the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and the Ministry of Haitians Living Abroad, to prepare the trip.
Toussaint, the member of parliament representing Saint-Marc, said the delegation will be composed of seven members, two journalists and relatives of the victim, including the Ambassador of Haiti in Dominican Republic, members of several communities of Haitians and judiciary and parliamentarian Dominicans.
